Corporate Opportunities

VP of Operations- New York, NY

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Operations will be a key member of the Draper James executive team and capable of engaging with the Board, CEO and CFO across broader strategic business discussions and initiatives in addition to the Operations, New Initiatives, and IT functions. The VP of Operations will be responsible for developing and executing against a one and three year Operations plan to continue to support the omnichannel growth of Draper James as well as addressing legacy systems and process issues. In so doing, the VP of Operations will bring extraordinary competence and expertise in designing, implementing, and scaling a ecommerce, retail and wholesale systems. Day-to-day, Draper James’s VP of Operations will be responsible for driving efficiency, profitability, and scalability across all of the company’s complex operations, including but not limited to global fulfillment, ERP/Netsuite and related integrations, IT/cyber security, customer care, and product sourcing/supply chain. As an innovative and entrepreneurial leader, the VP of Operations will play a critical role ensuring a smooth operational environment and will be comfortable working with a lean team to achieve efficiency and productivity.

Roles & Responsibilities Include:

        • Be a true strategic business partner to the CEO and CFO.
        • Provide leadership in designing and implementing standardized processes and accountability throughout organization
        • Assess current systems and implementations (Company is currently operating NetSuite), and provide roadmap for improvements and fixes for legacy issues
        • Manage and enforce processes and procedures with 3PL to ensure scalability
        • Oversee physical operations for our four brick-and-mortar locations including channel growth strategy
        • Oversee customer service team
        • Establish key reporting metrics across the Operations organization and develop effective strategies to achieve both corporate and functional goals
        • Help to ensure all teams across the company are in sync with one another and working towards the same strategic corporate goals

Who You Are:

        • Substantial operational experience in a high-growth global ecommerce fashion retailer or online marketplace
        • Proven success establishing efficient and reliable supply chain processes and systems, including successful 3PL integration and management
        • An obsessive customer-focused sensibility, combined with the knowledge of how to build an organization that will deliver an unmatched consumer experience, is important
        • Demonstrable success scaling a privately-held, fast-paced, high-growth business while maintaining a healthy and productive culture, is required
        • Proven experience scaling an Omni Channel (i.e. online/retail/wholesale) retailer is ideal
        • Analytics and metrics-driven style, along with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills meeting or exceeding deadlines. Referenceable track record quickly establishing credibility across an organization.

Assistant Merchant- New York, NY

Draper James is looking for a motivated, Omni-Channel Assistant Merchant to join the Merchandising Team

Major Responsibilities Include:

                  • Assist in the day-to-day management of all product categories and all channels
                  • Pull and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to analyze selling, capitalize on product trends and recognize business opportunities and/or pivot points by department
                  • Consolidate weekly customer feedback into main takeaways and action (fit, style, price points, etc).
                  • Maintain all assortment line lists with details such as costing, retails, margins and style counts
                  • Collaborate closely with large cross-functional team including E-Commerce, Marketing, Planning, Wholesale, Production and Design
                  • Track status of and maintain organization of samples
                  • Keep pulse on competitive market to recognize trends and/or new product opportunities

Requirements:

                  • Multichannel retail experience
                  • Proficient in Excel and ability to pick up retail systems quickly
                  • Self-starter with the ability to work under limited supervision.
                  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated customer service mentality
                  • Critical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment
